sizing
Just a quick question- I wonder about which size to knit my Colchique in. From experience I think that French sizes are usually quite small. Does anyone have any info about the sizes that Phildar use? Are they smaller than "normal" sizes?

Hi Mia,
Just get out a tape measure, most have metric and english measurements now, and measure yourself and compare it to the schematic to decide which size. This sweater needs to fit pretty close, so I used the chest measurement that is mine - I wasn't quite prepared for a negative ease (where the sweater has to stretch to fit over me there) and I'm glad I didn't, 'cause the way the ribbing works out, there is a slight amount of negative ease anyway. If you like to wear your sweaters really close you may want to size down, if you like more ease, go up one from your bust measurement as compared to the schematic.
Hope this is more helpful than confusing.
Marji comments wisely. To throw in my two cents, I started with the 2nd smallest size, and have now frogged and started again with the 3rd size. It does fit rather closely, so I bumped up the size because ribbing + too tight = revealing of every of one's folds.
